The Maritime Discovery Schools initiative is a holistic change that is improving education. While the school system we're designing won't cost more to operate in the long run, aligning an entire district to a central theme has never been done and to do it will require resources, $750,000 over the course of five years. The main expenses are outlined on the page titled The Plan.
School budgets keep getting tighter, and to create this amount of change will need funding outside traditional sources.
This is where you come in. $750,000 is a lot, but for each student it's only $125 per year for five years. Community members like you are already raising their hands and sponsoring one student's worth of change.
